PwrCor’s traditional business has been in the area of managing infrastructure development projects for institutional clients, particularly those which are non profit entities, such as universities, hospitals and municipalities.
The focus has been on the energy project market for large hospitals, colleges and universities in the New York metropolitan area. These institutions often operate large, aging centralized utility plant and infrastructure installations which provide heat (often steam), air conditioning (chilled water), and electric power – which may be generated onsite or bought from local utilities – to a sizable campus of buildings. Infrastructure is not the primary mission of these organizations, and increasingly, they have found it difficult to find sources of financing for upgrades and improvements. PwrCor either executes or manages the design and development of projects, often involving substantial upgrades to their “power plant”, or the design and installation of a new one. PwrCor can also act as project developer or co-developer, and can facilitate the project financing. PwrCor has achieved a strong reputation in this market, and is building on that.
The Company has enhanced its capabilities and profile in this market by forging an arrangement whereby PwrCor can offer a highly competitive tax-advantaged financing platform to such clients. PwrCor has achieved a strong reputation in this market, and is building on that.
